Will there be one? Has there been one? I doubt very many people are trying to put together 90s sets.

As a collector of Alex Rodriguez, I have a slew of cards that I would submit (RC, inserts, parallels, etc.). Give me $5 a card and I'll take advantage, if for nothing else than the protection of the slab.
Currently collecting.....your guess is as good as mine.
60's - 70's & 80's are all going to on special
(according to BJ in this Thread: http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=37&threadid=108851 )
here is what she said:
another PSA email:
Paul,
Yes, you have misunderstood. The set must be (or reach) 75% within 5 days of registering. It is incentive to get new collections registered. The incentive for ongoing collections (like yours) is our set registry specials. BTW, the next special is for 60s, 70s, and 80s. It will start 8/1.

The 86 topps is tough. The tiffs are fairly easy. The 89 Topps and the 88 Topps and DR are Nightmares. Heck look at the Pop on the 89 A.S. Boggs 1989 TOPPS 399 WADE BOGGS ALL-STAR PSA 10= 0 PSA 9 = 1 PSA 8 =100 1989 PSA 7 =1 Man that is rough 99 Percent 8's

Boggs -- 88 and 89 Topps should not be that hard. If you are able to get a 800-card lot of your favorite player (which shouldn't be that hard or expensive to do), then it is usually pretty easy to cull out the PSA 9's. I've had almost 100% success in 1989 Topps picking out the PSA 9's, but I have yet to find my 10 ;-)
I compare the 86 Topps baseball to it's 71 ancestor. Those black borders show every chip. I have not sent any in to be graded because I didn't think there was any demand. I believe this may be the reason for the low pops on these cards. I have about 15,000 raw cards and I'm going to go through them for submissions.
Heads up everyone on your 90's submissions. Insert all your cards in penny sleeves before putting them into cardsavers. I've found that due to many of the cards having foil, metal and photo like finishes that they frequently stick to the inside of the cardsaver and pieces chip off upon removal. This happens for cards such as UpperDeck, Ultra, Stadium Club, Black Diamond, and SP Authentic. I unfortunately found this out the hard way. A year ago I sent about 100 99 SP Authentic RC's. These were all replacement cards straight from UpperDeck. Razor sharp corners, perfectly centered, clean edges. All possible 10's. When they came back from PSA they were all 8's. Each card had a small chip off the lower left hand corner. I knew they weren't submitted this way and questioned PSA about what happened. PSA let me speak with the graders, but basically they stood by their grades. I found out weeks later when I tried to submit 20 UpperDeck Soriano RC's what had happened. I noticed some of the cards were lying crooked in the cardsaver and I pulled the cards out to straighten them. Lo and Behold, each card was stuck to the cardsaver and 1-2 corners chipped upon removal. I now send all my cards in cardsavers with pennysleeves.
Has anyone else had this problem?
