Raw Morgan authentication factors

I frequently examine raw Morgan's and Peace dollars at flea markets and garage/yard sales. I study up, use a small rare earth magnet slide, use my digital scale, check for obvious red flags but in terms of size and weight, I've got questions about sizes and weight tolerances.
Weight is 26.73 grams and acceptable loss is 0.06 or 0.09 grams?
Diameter is 38.1mm and thickness is 2.4mm with negligible deviations?
Your insight on these dimensions is appreciated. Peace Roy

The weight tolerance on a Morgan is +- .097g
It is possible to have a slight variation on the thickness but I would
think there should be no deviation on the diameter if it was struck
    properly in the collar.

@Greenstang Thanks for that. Have a good day

What bothers me is when the diameter or the thickness specs are more than the Mint specs. if it is worn or in an excessive circulation state, then the spec will be on the light side.
