1878 8tf VAM 15?

Morgan13Morgan13 Posts: 1,350 ✭✭✭✭✭

This 1878 8tf shows pretty strong doubling on LIBERTY and also has the doubling on the date. It has a lot more going on as well. The entire reverse is encircled with a die crack. Also lots of die polish lines on the reverse.
Could some of you VAM experts help me figure out which VAM this is?
I'm thinking 15 but I would like to be certain. I am more than happy to take more images or try to take better ones if necessary.
Thank you

Off the top of my head, that looks like VAM-18.

The doubling on Liberty on the 15 is much more pronounced.

It is indeed a VAM 18. Metal in the lower loop of the first 8 and the lower wing feathers on each side give it away.
