Hi CU,

Listing this for my nephew. Just back from a successful trip to CAC and price lowered to boot.

Up for sale is an NGC White Label (2.1) holder containing a 1923 Peace Dollar, graded MS64. This is a "fresh to market" coin from a decade's old collection. It was just added to the CU census . The holder is in flawless condition:

Asking $SOLD - Paypal FF (add 3.5% for G&S) shipped USPS Priority Mail.

Thanks for looking,

Tim

Can you post clearer photos of the coin surfaces? It might help your listing.

Maybe, but its a $75 coin, the sale is for the holder. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I did not already have a 2.0.

Yes, but understanding the coins surface will better predict green/gold cac, or damage. I'd prefer to bid on a non-damaged coin....

That gold embossed label on the reverse isn’t showing a shadow, inside the holder ? Are all white labels like that ?

You've just discovered the difference between a 2.0 and a 2.1. 2.1's have the gold on the inside, 2.0s have it on the outside.

Hey DD. The 2.1's used to be considered slightly rare than the 2.0's. Is that still the case?

Based on the current eBay listings, it sure seems to be true.

At one point it was thought that, but I think that was mostly due to lack of awareness. Census suggests they're pretty similar, and my experience suggests the same. I do think 2.1 are moderately rarer than 2.0's, maybe a total extant population of 10-15% less tops.
