I have seldom seen this type of toning. I'm not really sure how it occurs.

That's a very nice coin!
I have seen better toning on other Morgans.
I agree. I am not a fan of it myself. Just looks dirty to me.

I like it. I've seen similar toning, it looks like it has a dirty crusty film on it but when the angle of the light changes the colors shine through. There's beauty in it.
Time for the
"Dip!"
It'll really bring out that Luster.

You'll be glad you did.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I like it, not great since it is dark, but not messed with. I have a few like it. Maybe leather pouch toning. I would not dip, think it is too ingrained into the coin and will leave halos around the devices. And that is a better date so risk of ruining coin. That neon cobalt blue color is usually a later stage tone that will not come out easily. Dipping too long to remove will ruin the coin. The reddish tone would probably come off easily. Leave as-is, if you do not like it, others will appreciate.
I have seen similar toning on dollars that were in the Tidy House promotion. Usually a common issue like 1884-O was used. Some were PL or semi-PL showing flashy toning like that.
Looks dullish to me.
Not too different from this example. Lots of color and pops when rotated in hand.
