My Latest Newp - Surprising Positive New Information Regarding a Large Dealer

In my daily "hunting" routine, I came across a nice coin I needed for my Morgan Dollar DATE Set. Since I'm sharing Positive information, I'll name the dealer - L & C Coins.
In the past, for the most part I've avoided buying "Classic" U.S. coins from them, since they always indicate they use "stock" photos, and the coin you receive can very likely be different from the one you see.
As you can see from the photos of the coin I bought, I needed to make sure the coin I was getting was indeed the coin I saw in the photos. I figured, "What the heck, I'll call them!". Not only did they confirm the coin I show below is the coin they would ship to me, but they indicated that for the most part, they are now usually trying to use photos of the coins actually for sale, particularly on the more "uncommon" coins.
So while virtually all other dealers have always only shown photos of the coins they are selling, apparently L & C Coins is now joining the others. Kudos to them!
I believe some forum members will benefit from knowing this information. Regardless, it still pays to call them if you see a coin of interest to ask if THAT is the coin you'll be getting!

Superb! Thanks for the heads up on L&C.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
The blastiest white around! Nice pickup!
Very nice shiner.
Beautiful in all respects
A beautiful coin, congrats
With a mintage of 12.2 million it's hard to believe how few nice ones are graded above 65. Great pickup!
Very attractive example!
Very nice coin!
L and C definitely has not finished transitioning away from stock photos. They relisted a coin I bought a year ago with the same pictures, despite the fact that the coin now had earned a CAC sticker. Hopefully they keep on the path of staying away from stock images.

Stock photos are only appropriate for moderns graded 69/70. Otherwise they are deceptive unless marked in an extremely conspicuous manner - it is better to have no photo at all than a stock photo that someone could interpret as the coin they will receive.
That’s a truly great looking coin! I bought a Bolivian coin from them recently that’s very rare…I assumed the pics were of the actual coin (since it was such a rare coin, it would have been unlikely that they were about to get a stock image, at least was my thought process,) and they turned out to be. It was a fair price for a good coin.
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
Blast white and a full creamy cheek. Love it in the OGH. Congrats Steve!
Stock photos = no business from me! That is good news about them. Nice coin btw.
Everything to love.

Great ‘83 Morgan! Very nice.
L&C has been around forever. I’m pretty sure 30-40 years or longer. I clearly need to check their site more often. Congrats again.
