It came back at what I expected (67+). Maybe it could go higher if I tried again. It wasn’t about a profit. It was about finding a “virgin” coin and all the excitement that comes with the process. Overall I’m very pleased with it and I think the price was fair for the quality of the coin.

Nice! Was that the coin posted here at auction with all the paperwork? It was quite beautiful.

    Congrats.

I seem to remember some obnoxious comments in your earlier thread.

I quite like the colors, with all due respect for @Ricko.

Not to be critical, but my hunch is that if not viewed at precisely the proper angle this coin appears dark. The TV is nice, though.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. I haven't seen a plus (MS67) PCGS coin yet which is as you described.

I saw a video of this coin, and while the reds do get darker, at most angles the color is fairly bright. When compared to the video, the TV seems accurate to my eyes.

I do know the type of toning @Maywood is talking about. This coin is bright in hand. I’ll post some holder shots when I get it back. The terminal toning he speaks of usually manifests as a deep and dull violet and the luster has trouble shining through.
