what does it mean when a coin is missing letters

    In this case, filled die - grease or other debris. Sometimes it could be over polishing a die and the letter is actually removed.

    You can bareley see the L most likely , as stated above, from a grease filled die. Not worth a premium unless a section of details are missing........
