![Morgan13](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/userpics/SIYCX1WETVRA/nRD1AZ55XCYEH.jpg)
I've been scratching my head over this VAM for to long.
Can someone please help me figure this one out?

I can’t tell anything from those pictures, by the look of it maybe the strong variety?

I'll see if I can take better images.
The holder does say "strong"

Vam 38 Very common
Yours is a very nice example.
I blew up the tail feathers.
Thank you guys. I thought it was a VAM38 I just wanted to be sure.
I appreciate you being a big help.

If you think that's a head scratcher you should see vam 30, 30a, 31, 43 and 45. They are 7/8 tailfeathers, but they are called 7/0. Much harder to indentify.

Yea there are so many.
I had it pegged for a VAM 38 but I couldn't be sure. I didn't want to miss it being a top 100 or something.

I used to have almost every 7/8 back when I owned mostly silver dollars. I also had an 1878S long nock. The 88 O Hot lips and the 1878 vam 9. I just recently sold the vam 9, all the others got sold 25 years ago.

All of the rare 7/8 TF coins are "weak" ones (32, 34, 43, 44, 45), but not all of the weak ones are rare. VAM 33 is probably the most common.

25 years ago I bet you could buy Morgan's at a very good price. I still think they are relatively inexpensive.
