Annual South Carolina State Show - October 26, 27, and 28

The 51st Annual South Carolina Numismatic Association Convention will be held this Thursday, October 26 through Saturday, October 28 at the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, SC. The Convention Center is located just a few miles off I-85 and is about equidistant between Atlanta and Charlotte. Aside from several Club tables (including the Liberty Seated Collector Club, Society of Paper Money Collectors, and the South Carolina State Museum), there will be 110 dealer tables set up for business. Fortunately, we lost only two dealers to that "other show" so, if you've been before, you can expect to see just about all the same faces. Warning: This is not a show for the Wine & Cheese Set and I doubt you will find much PCGS CAC Gold on the floor but it's always a real great collector's show with plenty of opportunities to make some good deals. Also, we are having an expanded Exhibit Area so be sure to check that out. In fact, Mark Lighterman, ANA Vice-President, is coming up from Florida to assist with the judging. If you have any issues/concerns with the ANA, I'm sure Mark will be happy to talk with you.

As usual, the SCNA Show has just about the best security in the business with round-the clock off-duty armed sheriff's deputies and numerous cameras (along with other features I won't talk about in a public forum). There is a whole series of Young Numismatist programs scheduled for Friday as well as speakers and Boy Scout programs on Saturday. And, as usual, parking is free and admission is free. If you're coming from out-of-town, there are several reasonably priced hotels nearby. For more information, visit our website at www.sc-na.org.

One of the best regional shows in the South. I attended in 2019. Lots of
dealers who were friendly and willing to make a sale. Dropped off a bunch
of Morgans with the ANACS rep. Very helpful and patient. Bought 2 Walkers
and a few Buffalo's. The Boy Scout program was well attended. Health keeps
me from attending this year. Well worth the drive (3.5 hours).

A few people from Myrtle Beach were going, including one dealer.

Hope to make it a regular stop in future years
