Here are images of a dramatic struck thru Lincoln Cent - Struck thru reverse with resulting dramatic "starburst" effect on obverse. I have not seen this before.

I don’t think this is anything that happened at the mint. Whatever it was, a lot of heat was involved. Maybe electric current.
Sorry – PMD
Just a damaged cent.

The disruption on the obverse is precisely what you don't want to see. It proves it's not an error.
Thanks for help.
Obverse side tells the story.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Please don't put that back into circulation, it will show up on coin forums some ridiculous amount of times by roll searchers.

So you don't want me to make more and seed the Coinstar?
Coin went directly into garbage. Hope the secret service doesn't come after me!
Maybe we need a sticker for coins like this that says; This coin has already been posted to every coin forum on earth.

Distinguishing between original Mint-made surfaces and post-mint alterations can be a very tricky thing sometimes. If I wasn’t using that to make a determination on this one, it would be that the coin is out-of-round. A struck through coin would not be out of round like this, so that indicates it’s not an error. Also, strike through errors, rarely cause a perforation through the opposing side of the coin.
If anything, this coin looks close to a defective planchet, but again, that error would not cause the coin to be out-of-round. Beyond that, the “broken windshield” appearance on the obverse is not something that would originate from the Mint.
I think the coin was heated by a blowtorch, and the blob on the back is the solidified metal. That would explain the color and the obverse cracking.
