Photography at shows?

How many shows offer a vendor doing photography?
Never see them at smaller shows and don't recall one at the Dalton show I attended.
Was kicking around idea to offer service at local shows 🤔

I have not seen the service at the smaller shows that I attend but think you could get some business. I have a few coins I would like to get photos of but will not mail them (cost is too high) and big shows are often very busy.
Just my 2 cents but sounds like a good idea. May take a show or two to get traction. People would need to know you will be there and see some of your work.

Agree. There is nothing like this at my local shows, and I would love it. I hate the idea of mailing my coins to someone to shoot. I would much rather have it done in person and have my coins the entire time. Love the idea!!!!!
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
I’ve never seen it before and I’ve thought of it from time to time. But the logistics and setting up controlled lighting seem more hassle than its worth. What I’ve thought as an alternative, though I’m too lazy to do it, is to work with a local dealer and offer it to them free for a trial and then negotiate a price after the trial period.
You might want to ask a few who have done it. It's all about skill and being able to shoot in less-than-ideal situations.
Todd ( @blu62vette ) used to set up in the back of Charmy's booth at some shows. I swear I saw a picture of his setup and he used a Homer bucket and a point-and-shoot camera.

The security, workflow, and deliverables are something I am working thru ATM.
Figure I could provide a service, meet, and network with dealers.
Maybe too much to chew on, if the ultimate goal is becoming a full time show dealer.

You could do that as well if you don't want to do the show, just saying
I think it’s a great idea, and I expect there would be demand for it. I know I’d be interested. I’ve seen Todd do it at larger shows. I believe you’re onto something here. Good luck.

Interesting responses... thank you for the feedback.

Just pay the table fee and good luck!
Where are you located?
Sounds like a great idea. Coin photography has been my constant weakness from day 1.
I’m curious though, how fast do you think you can get a coin photographed and move on to the next? How much setup time is involved for each coin to “get it right?”
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
