Monster Raw Roanoke
This coin was on eBay recently and looked like it had potential, but the photos were not optimal….always a risk. It appears it was recently found in the original envelope. I took a real gamble and paid a good amount for it but it’s an exciting find and you never really see ones like this pop up anymore. I plan to send it to PCGS soon.
My photos probably aren’t much better, but the coin is pretty amazing in hand.
Any guesses on the grade?

From a distance looks great 67+ Up close may be a different story what do you think it is?
Extremely pretty
Well since this coin was discussed some already on the BST, and you paid 67+ money for it I guess you are hoping for MS67+ or better.![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
The seller had a thread on it.
It's cool to see someone from here won it.

Yikes
Tough with pictures and I could be way wrong...but I see it as a technical 66 with a + for the color.
66….
This is my 66 Lynchburg, very similar toning….
I thought for SURE 67 …..came back as 66
Muted luster from the overcooked toning possibly held her back.
Here is a PCGS 67+ on Ebay for $1800.....not quite as colorful and lacks the ephemera.

Wow, looks like you have to get the 67+ to stay above water. Anything less would be a major disappointment, Good luck, hope you get the grade you expect.
Mark
Probably 68, honestly.
You may be correct, I hope so.

That's a "Wow!" coin. Grading companies are all over the place with commemoratives. I hope you get the grade you want from a financial aspect but if you bought it for your own collection, it should provide much more enjoyment than what you paid for it.
Here are some comps that I find “similar”. Most of these have more contact marks than my coin under intense magnification. Some of the 68s have more marks than the 67s. My experience in the last 5 years is PCGS has steered toward luster and color grading vs technical grade.
