al the microscope pics i've seen have been grainy
To study half dime varieties, I like a regular stereo microscope.
For photos, I use a macro lens.
There are cheap USB microscopes, but they don't have white balance, so they don't get the color correct.
Good enough for what I use it for. I think it was 30 or 40 bucks years ago on Amazon.
