GTG- Saint Gaudens $20

Not my coin, and not my pics. Pics are not great, but I've also included the NGC photos which should help. This will not be a long drawn out GTG, I'm more interested to know how YOU grade this coin, rather than what you think its graded as now. I will reveal the grade in a couple hours.

I would call it MS62, but I seem to be pretty harsh compared to the TPG's on these saint's.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Would need to see in hand but from the pics,
I could see MS63 NGC and AU58 CACG.

I would say MS63, I'm not really seeing anything that looks like wear to me from those pics.
That first picture really got me prepared for a rough coin. I don't like it but I give it a 64, would not be surprised at all to see it in a NGC 65 or Wells Fargo Hoard 66.
I'll go 65, maybe 66.

MS62. Obv somewhat stuffy
Here's a video, I had to try to cut out the cert but don't cheat if you get a glimpse of it. First time using vimeo, hopefully it works. If anyone wants to change their guess after seeing video go ahead.

I can see as high as a MS66. I think anyone who sees this coin as below 64 needs to look at more Saints and probably more coins in holders in general.
65, Nice!
I think it is a 65, also.
I would give it a 64
Beautiful! 67
MS64.
I don't have a lot of saints so take this with a grain of salt, but from the pictures I'd guess 65 unless there is some rub I am not seeing that puts it at a 58. I see less marks on this than my CAC stickered 64s.
I see MS66

Ok, here it is:
I expected most guesses to be in the 64-66 range, and in fairness to the people who guessed lower, the pictures make the coin look awful and they didn't have the luxury of seeing the video that was later added. From the pictures, I grade this coin as a 65 with a shot at 66 if you were lucky. Luster seems decent, but theres a considerable amount of chatter on the obverse and her left arm is roughed up, and the reverse fields look hazy at a certain angle. I don't think I would ever, by any stretch of the imagination, call this a 67.
The seller of the coin said its freshly graded, and when I saw that it made me think of the 68+ NGC Morgan post the other day. Also, someone on instagram had a poll recently asking if it seemed as though NGC had gotten tighter or looser over the past 8 months, and 80% of the respondents had voted "looser". Conversely, they asked the same question about PCGS and 80% of respondents answered "tighter".

Flashy luster and virtually no marks. MS67

This is where the CAC sticker is very helpful.

Is there a red one that means overgraded by 2 points?
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
That would help too.![:D :D](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)

At CACG this coin is MS64......maybe.
MS64 from me.
Coin Photographer.
I would have called it a 65 from the pics.

I can see how NGC calls it a 67 but that's more of an indictment of gradeflation than the coin itself. It's hard to get Saints without knee rub and I will say that this coin is one of the better ones when it comes to the knee.
Wow - I just don't see how you get to 67 with as many marks as this thing has. 65, yes. Maaaaybe 66. No way a 67. I certainly wouldn't buy this at MS67 prices.
Given the gash to Liberty's forehead, this is a coin I'd pass on regardless of grade due to that focal area hit. That aside, 64-65 for me but not a chance of 67.
I agree with the obverse issues. Also on the sports card side many are voicing the same tight ness of grading with PSA card grading.
Nope, never.

It's a nice looking coin. The luster on the obverse made me think it was a modern Eagle for a second there.

From the images I would have guessed 66 or 66+.
It'd be hard to find a better exemplar of why the market bias between the major services is what it is.
