CCAC is the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee.

The agenda will include:
1. Swearing-in of new CCAC member (October 24, 2023);
2. review and discussion of candidate designs for the Benjamin Ferencz Congressional Gold Medal (October 24, 2023);
3. review and discussion of candidate designs for the five 2025 American Women Quarters (October 24, 2023);
4. review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2025 American Liberty Gold Coin and Silver Medal (October 25, 2023);
5. review and approval of FY 2023 CCAC Annual Report (October 25, 2023); and
5. discussion of recommendations for FY 2024 CCAC Annual Report and Report of the Future Numismatic Themes Working Group (October 25, 2023).
6. The last topic will include a discussion and deliberations of suggestions from the public and the numismatic community as to ideas for themes for circulating and commemorative coins and medals. This is so important as the CCAC is charged with considering these suggestions and forwarding CCAC recommendations to the Treasury Secretary.

To attend in person, please follow the directions and deadline in the following Federal Register link: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2023/09/25/2023-20701/notification-of-citizens-coinage-advisory-committee-public-meeting-october-24-2023-day-one-and

Hope to see you there!!

    You read my mind with this post. This is one of those times I wish I was one of those “super wealthy, have nothing but time on my hands” kinda guys. I’d be up there with a megaphone handling business for 2026 expectations. Instead I’ll be in front of my classes, desperately lecturing patriotism and history to the 12 and 13 year olds to whom I teach Civics.

    God help them if they try to go all modern/progressive on our 250th coinage. The thought is giving me nightmares. Let’s see some classic liberty and long celebrated design related imagery.

    Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
