.SOLD for $4,112 w/BP.

There have been 146 1875-CC Twenty Cent Pieces graded MS63 (87 by PCGS and 59 by NGC). At this price point, chances are high that most have been submitted to CAC. Of those 146, only 9 coins have a CAC sticker, and this is one of them!

I consigned this coin in the current Legend Regency Auction 61, Lot #83, as I upgraded this with a new purchase of an MS64.

Here is their description:

DESIRABLE DOUBLE DIME. Choice surfaces are blanketed in snow white mint frost and luster, the motifs exhibit a crisp strike, much sharper than normally seen with strong hair strand definition and complete wing and breast feathers on the eagle. With magnification, a couple of light tick marks here and there are noted, but all are commensurate with the grade.

In high demand, as the only affordable, collectible Carson City Mint issue for the series, as the 1876-CC an extreme rarity that is out of reach for most collectors.

PCGS 87, NGC 59, CAC 9. The PCGS Price Guide list is $4,000. Since you have to go ALL THE WAY BACK to December 2015 to find an auction record for a CAC example, where it sold for $2,585, we expect not only a record price for this coin but a plethora of bids. Best of luck!

Steve
