Reasons why I am suspicious: Grainy cast like looking surfaces on reverse, has the indicative hit on eagles breast
However it appears to have some toning and real wear on the observe, so unless artificially circulated, there is a chance to my novice yes its genuine.
More experienced collectors, what is the verdict?

100% fake. It is the CC Morgan with the slash on the eagle's breast. This fake also has a bump above the D in dollar on the reverse. The counterfeit reverse is available on all Morgan CC dates.
+1 and the CC's are the wrong fonts too.

Here's my 1882 Morgan, its an 'o', there was something about these being poorly struck, but mine looks fine to my untrained eyes

Yea those CC's are a dead give away. I wish all these fake Morgan's would stop showing up. Makes me somewhat nervous on one hand but I am really getting to know what a good Morgan dollar looks like.
The obverse of that counterfeit is too good.
