1968-s Jefferson ms70?

I just got a few coins passed down and not sure what I have I added a post about some other coins as well.
I'm not sure why this one is graded?

No ideas as to why that one was graded, but there is no way it makes a 70. There's a gash up above where his ear should be.
That is a homemade "certified" coin in an aftermarket slab holder that can be bought from coin supply dealers.
Not a true certified piece and not MS70 by even the loosest standard.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. Just picking out coins I got that passed down to me that catch my eye. Don't know much about coins but will be doing some research on the rest I got.
to give an idea the coin is worth 5 cents and the plastic holder is worth more

I don’t think it’s a strong strike either! In fact it looks weak but it also has wear so it’s hard to tell much beyond that.
Yes, there are a ton of companies just like them too. As a general rule of thumb, any slab that's not PCGS, NGC, CACG, or ANACS or ICG you basically treat as if the coin was raw. And when the coin is more expensive, I treat ANACS and ICG as if they were raw or have potential issues preventing them from getting into PCGS or NGC holders.

It may have been dipped in MS70, but, it is very far from "perfect".
