1964 Topps Pete Rose Rookie Card Missprint

Hello,

I have been going through my dads collection and came across his three pete rose rookie cards, except one of them is very different from the others. I have tried googling and searching this forum with no real answer.

Is this a missprint that makes this card unique or detracts from the card?

See photo’s. I added both the variation/missprint and his normal card for reference.

Card is miscut. Red at top is from another card on printing sheet.

Thank you for the correction on the terminology. That may be why I couldn’t find much on it.

I am assuming miscuts do not add any value?

    Miscut is usually less valuable

Thank you all for the education on terminology and the quick responses.

I kind of figured that when you all said it was a misfit.

Printing errors with US currency can often be valuable. Not so with cards, except for certain typeface errors.

These guys all know...his RC is 1963...you have his second year card which still is a keeper!

Maybe that, like Cal's 1982 Topps Traded could be like his solo RC?

Not the same thing.... Cal's came out the same year as the 3pack and still does not have rookie year stats.. This Rose has his stats from his rookie year, and thus is a 2nd year card as 1964 was his 2nd season.
