2020 Kansas tallgrass prairie quarter---- possible die break on rev? (results--bag marks)

I recently opened 2 rolls of 2020 Kansas tallgrass prairie quarters. Maybe 1 or 2 coins stood apart from the rest. Is this a possible die break on the reverse? It looks like the leaf is dripping water and you can see it looks like the drips land on the lower set of leaves. Let me know what you think.

Those are called bag marks from being hit by another coin probably in transportation
of bags of quarters than can contain well over 100,000 coins.
If it was a die break, it would be raised, not incuse.

That makes sense. I have been spending hours trying to research and you are giving me more knowledge in a few sentences. Hahaha I do appreciate it.

  • Just commenting to agree with @Greenstang above. The first picture shows that it is a dent or bag mark. Often times a knock into a coin can cause metal movement and can appear on one edge to be a raised mark. Most of the time though, it is just a contact mark that has some wear from circulation on it. Glad you are here on the forum though and keep asking questions!

Thanks for the info. By the description you give, I can literally picture the coin doing that in my head.
