I just bought this today, and don't have it in hand yet. For those of you familiar with the series, you know how rare this one is. I believe it's the second rarest Philadelphia issue after the 1853 No Arrows. The original mintage is a minuscule 16,025. It has typical central strike weakness on the shield and wing. Lower grade coins often look two grades higher on the obverse.

Too blurry to see the details, I'll guess 40.
Pics are dark and out of focus, but I will guess VF20

I'll split the difference of the two above and say VF 30

Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
too blurry, as is VF20
Smaller pics, but maybe the focus is better.
Wunnerful ... wunnerful
Seriously- I like this one. Terrific coin. The grade is less important as this one has the look. Congrats

30, probably a 35 though

My thoughts exactly.
VF 30 ish, but just a very cool and very scarce coin.

This is my current VF20 for comparison. I think they obviously took the striking characteristics into account.
VF 30 OR 35. If it's NGC graded, as high as XF40.

I personally think the coin is a VF35, although I haven't seen it in hand yet, so that could change. Barring inaccurate pics, I think this will grade at least PCGS VF30. If got it for F15 money so it should be a good deal no matter what. It's certainly better than my VF20.
@Crepidodera - I know what you mean about NGC, they seem to grade circulated seated quarters too loose. I always assume a grade (or two) lower when buying NGC coins.
Way better than F15! You got a great deal on that one! I think it will grade at least VF30 at PCGS .
Very nice coin and a rare date! I once had a PCGS VG-10 and sold it to the first person that saw it.
Great looking color and surfaces, nice coin.![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
