Foreign token/coin?

First off, im sorry if im not posting this in the right place. I have tried my best to find anything on this but have had no luck. I think its a token because its the same on both sides but it has foreign markings, japan maybe? Pics attached i hope...

    @JBK Thanks for the reply, I was able to decipher one of the symbols as "circle" and the other as maybe "gem" but still not sure what it is....

    Well it's not a coin. It's a token, probably some type of amusement game. Good luck
