Guess the Grade Texas Commem - plus opine on the toning / pricing (revealed in comments)
Please guess the grade on this Texas Commem.
Also, do you think the colors are attractive and what type of premium would they bring above an untoned example in the same grade (that you guess it is slabbed as)?
Note: I found the photo online (no edits were done by me; I copied it over here as I found it).

looks flawless. love the EA. 67+
AT - unc details
This has a small shade of that questionable artificial blue tone. I think this coin has a fair shot at straight grading, but I wouldn’t touch this one.
Looks AT to me.

I agree on the QT. If it's straight graded I'll say 65+
AT. since it is AT, no straight grade.
I will say that there are morgans out there that look very similar, so maybe this is NT, but the blue looks too brilliant for the reds present. I could be wrong. Your mileage may vary.

Hey @OAKSTAR I went first so you are good![:# :#](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/grimace.png)
I see many AT guesses, to be honest, I almost never guess details or AT, I assume a GTG is GTG, and nothing but.
So I guess the grade, you almost can never really tell from a scan, and we've seen that from the last few GTG's. especially that last great reveal lol

67+ & I like it! I say it will bring a premium over a white one.

Miss Texas suffered a deadly blow to the head. Ouch! She looks like a Star Trek alien. The coin isn't well struck and may even been wiped (Alamo). The toning does not enhance the detail of the coin either. MS63. How can that coin be graded higher with that deep ding to the head of Miss Texas turning her into an Orc? Is this CAC stickered?

It was made that way. I found a few others rather quickly. Here’s a PCGS 67+/CAC example:

LOL! One has the eye in the pit (yours), while this coin has an eye outside the pit. I looked at it and screamed with terror. My comments stand on the strike and toning that doesn't enhance the coins details, the latter only representing a personal preference. MS65 then after reconstructive surgery on her face. (MS65)
Re your coin (MS67+), it has a much better strike and now I can see the 'texture' of the dies on the Alamo. The eyeball is presumably in the right place at the bottom of the pit and not popping out the side of her head like the OP coin.
Here are two circulated coins that show much better strikes or clearer detail than the OP coin. No deep dent for her left eye.
No eyeballs popping out of the temple either.
😀
Your comments about eyes and pits bring to mind a couple of old expressions:
1) “The ayes have it.” and 2) “This is the pits.”

Any more guesses before the reveal?

The picture is a little too far away for me to see the wear areas but I'm going to guess 67 as I'm not seeing overt wear that is noticeable in the picture
Grade Reveal
This one is an ICG MS 65. The listing appears to use a TrueView photo (the same one as in the original post) but it has no mention of PCGS anywhere; the full slab photos are the ICG slab. This looks to be a somewhat older ICG slab (at the very least it isn't the newest generation). So either someone tried to cross it unsuccessfully (but got a photo in the process-although I don't think photos are taken on failed crossovers) or it went to PCGS first, where it got a details grade (probably QC). There is a small chance it got a straight grade at PCGS, but I doubt that someone would have sent it to ICG if the PCGS grade wasn't details (although anything is possible).
As far as pricing, the ask is about 100-150 above the going rate for a PCGS MS 65 that is not toned.
ICG?!?!? That doesn't count!!

sneaky, the opener is cool, the reveal is drecky, day and night, almost embarrassed to have said 67+, but even @OAKSTAR was off by a wittle![:D :D](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
