Would you say this is old PVC damage?

Looking at the splotchy brown marks, not the improper alloy/toning.

    Probably yes. There appears to be haze on the coin where the material came into contact.

    All glory is fleeting.

    Maybe. It's got some of the typical "woodgrain" toning which usually isn't PVC but the blotchy appearance suggest PVC.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
