Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee Public Meeting-October 24, 2023 and October 25, 2023.

As a Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) member, appointed to represent the interests of the public and a frequent contributor to this message board, I am hoping that some of you, especially those, who live or work in the Washington, DC area, will choose to come and hear the CCAC's deliberations in person.

Please read the official notification in the Federal Register: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2023/09/25/2023-20701/notification-of-citizens-coinage-advisory-committee-public-meeting-october-24-2023-day-one-and

If you choose to participate in person, please follow the instructions in the link above well before October 16, 2023. Those participating via phone, also read the notice for instructions.

The agenda will include:
Swearing-in of new CCAC member (October 24, 2023); review and discussion of candidate designs for the Benjamin Ferencz Congressional Gold Medal (October 24, 2023); review and discussion of candidate designs for the five 2025 American Women Quarters (October 24, 2023); review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2025 American Liberty Gold Coin and Silver Medal (October 25, 2023); review and approval of FY 2023 CCAC Annual Report (October 25, 2023); and discussion of recommendations for FY 2024 CCAC Annual Report and Report of the Future Numismatic Themes Working Group (October 25, 2023).

The last topic will include a discussion and deliberations of suggestions from the public and the numismatic community as to ideas for themes for circulating and commemorative coins and medals. This is so important as the CCAC is charged with considering these suggestions and forwarding CCAC recommendations to the Treasury Secretary.

As the current CCAC Chair, it will be my honor to finally meet those of you who come!!!

Given the importance of the CCAC and its meetings, I hope that the PCGS and those who oversee these message boards will include the CCAC meetings in communicating important events.

    Thanks
