1855/54 overdate VF
1863 VG
1864 G
1865 VG
1872-CC AG

the 1839 ND VG. It's the most valuable of the coins listed and it's been a pretty hot coin through the years. It just went up again! That's a 633% increase in TWO YEARS!! ($75 in August 2021, $475 today).

The 55/54 can be 'cherried' with patience.

I agree with Barberian. The 1839 No Drapery is also a one-year type, so it is in demand.

This is a really tough list to pick just one from. Nope, can't do it. I want to see them all.

If your 73-CC is no arrows, then that one.

    (It’s with arrows)

Well, that's different then (apologies to Gilda Radner).
    I'd go with the 51-O.
My selections are based on my experience in availability of issues.
If you are about the $$$ - then the 39ND is the one.

I agree with this. I like the branch mints as well. Additionally, I prefer the with Drapery design.

If you are down to these two finalists I would vote for the 39 based on these images.

Yes. For the 39 ND, being a type coin, it's about the $$$. I passed on one early and watched a $800 coin in EF40 become a $3250 coin. While the 51-O is IMO, scarcer than the 39 ND, I had two 51-Os before I ever owned a 39 ND, and my 39 ND is a nasty hole filler. In summary, my management of the 39 ND slot has been a disaster. I'm laughing now thinking about it.

Those are two good looking half dollars. You have to respect a coin that circulated extensively and avoided nasty damage or cleaning. The mint and government got their money's worth out of these two.

I still prefer the 51-O. If you are in it for the money do the 39. I have seen 3 low grade 39ND coins for every 51-O I have come across but that is purely based on personal experience. As they say. results may vary. James

1839 ND. Bought this one raw, graded F12. Not as "white" as the TV.

The 39 is damaged. I would have passed on that and got the 51-o.

A little rim ding doesn’t really take away from a coin in the VG level that looks like this one if the price is right…. The 39 ND is a very pricey date in the series and I am very happy with this example for the set right now.

I would rather have a nice original piece with a rim bump than a coin with perfect rims and has been cleaned and blast white anyday…. Just my thoughts…

Both the 51-O and 39 ND are tuff dates and I liked the look of both so I pulled the trigger…

I usually have to do the Highlander thing, "There can only be one!", so congrats on getting both. James

Nice pick ups, glad you could buy both.

There’s something about that small date I love. Either way you can’t go wrong. Or just buy both if the price is right you won’t regret.
