Is this normal for a mint mark?

2023 Peace Silver Dollar Proof "S" mint mark:

Edit before any comments: Its not lint or any fiber, its on the coin. I blew air over it and it did not come off.

    Die deterioration, probably

Since the coin is a proof, I am guessing that this is undesirable?

Would it be worth it to get it graded?

If it gets a 69, you lose money. If it gets a 70, you probably break even. It really depends on what you want to do. No one is going to get rich in these, ever, whether graded or raw.

If you don't like it just sell it and move on. These are popular but common coins that are strictly "made for collector".
Don't start wasting money chasing "70" grades.

    All glory is fleeting.

It almost looks like a minor strikethrough error

Looks to me like it's a piece of medal that came off the S,fwiw

I'm not sure what we're supposed to be looking at. The "lint" or the shape of the mm.

I believe what appears to be a small struck-through lint on the mint mark.

    Collector, occasional seller
