Found this at a garage sale, paid $30 not really sure if it was a good deal. Would it be worth getting graded?

Not worth getting graded, but I’d definitely say you got a good deal on it.
Cool find for a garage sale.
A very good deal! An excellent coin for an album collection. I would not have it slabbed.
Looks original! Nice going

You did well on that one!

very nice for a Dansco or Whitman type set.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
It looks like it has been "wiped" (parallel hairlines) on the star side. So a grading service would likely declare it "cleaned".
But it has almost all the details remaining (not much wear) and $30 is a good deal since it is likely worth about twice that.
I have never found anything decent at a garage sale. Usually seller wants big bucks for common coins, Pass.
I think any imperfections noted above could well be in the plastic 2X2.
You did really well.
Here is one that sold for $134. and I don't think it is as nice as yours:

@braddick I’m going to put it in a better holder I’ll take another pick of it while I have it out.
@braddick Maybe it does look a little scuffed. You think it would be declared cleaned?
Looking at it now I do agree with dcarr as it appears cleaned on the obverse. Not offensively- yet cleaned. A great find regardless.

Still a good deal for $30! Wish I could find older coins at yard sales.
Welcome, looks like you did fine. Without better pictures a quick look makes me think this one was cleaned. Probably not worth the price to have it slabbed and graded.
Keep searching... good luck.
