My "Free" Large Cent?

I paid $50 all in for this 1842 Small Date N-1. There's $43 in economy plastic and variety attribution fees plus shipping both ways to get a raw example certified so the coin itself is essentially free. PCGS has only graded 6 examples of this variety in all grades and color. This VG10 example will fill the slot nicely in my late date Newcomb set. I think I got a great deal! What do you think?

Good call sending it in, as you would have to wait a long time for a certified one to come to market!
Of course there are likely more N-1s in unattributed holders, but then you’d have to sink the same cost into it to get it attributed.
@Walkerguy21D I guess I wasn't clear...I bought this slab off Ebay for $50 BIN with free shipping. This coin is the lowest graded coin at PCGS. You are right....I jumped at the chance to get this coin! These never turn up attributed. It pays to check every day.
I am friends with another Late Date Newcomb collector. We swim in different ends of the collecting pool. I have found a few unattributed TOP POP coins that I have given him a heads up on. I wish my pockets were a bit deeper but I like helping him out and also enjoy keeping these coins out of the clutches of DLH.
Ah, okay, thanks for clarifying that.
