Is this the same one?
.
Apparenty, but this is not the BST forum
That's a heck of a MAD obverse
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I like it. Well done.
If it's struck over a Silver Eagle, then why doesn't that design show in the blank area?
Now there's a good question.
The Die was purposely made to show what it shows.
I'm not sure I like it. I always associated DC stuff with quality.
I really don't think a manufactured error coin from DC is really necessary.
It was a commissioned item.
It is not the type of thing I would have produced as a normal product run of my own.
I never offered this item in my store, although another site had them.
I did get people asking me about getting one after I had them documented in my catalog.
Note that it is not really a "misaligned die" strike. It would correctly be called a "misaligned engraving". The engraving was intentionally done off-center. Even though part of the die was blank, that blank part of the die still obliterated the low-relief details of the host coins in that area.
A fake fantasy "error"? IDK! Will it greene beean? CZY WRLD!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

I like it, it's like a crescent moon. Crescent moon, moonlight mint, it fits.
Calling it a misaligned die is misrepresentation.
Neat fantasy piece, it looks good
Looks cool to me!
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I would guess that that is your first fake error coin. I've seen a few in the $200 range.

Thank you for the explanation.
IMO, the error is considering it a "coin" at all.
Nice one!
Idk. That's an interesting question. Is it a defaced coin or a medal?
Belongs on craigslist.
Not exactly an error...but likely the only reeded Sacagaweas in existance
Thanks Dan!

Sacs struck on struck quarters also have reeded edges. The most “common” is the 2000 sac overstruck on 2000 maryland state quarters.
DC gifted this 1932-S Triple Struck, Die Pair 3 Buff to me on a personal visit three years ago this month. ANACS would later call it an MS67. It's a keeper for the memorable tour of his Moonlight Mint, kind generosity, and what was behind Door #3.
