Novak Djokovic plays for U.S. Open title on Sunday, goes for record 24 Grand Slam titles

Novak Djokovic will be playing for his 3rd Grand Slam title of the year when he faces Russian star Daniil Medvedev in Sundays final on ESPN. In the Semifinals, Djokovic defeated rising American star Ben Shelton in straight sets. Medvedev, the 2021 U.S. Open Champion, defeated Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz in the other Semifinal friday evening. Djokovic, who will regain the number one ranking this Monday is having another outstanding year winning the first two Grand Slams of the year..The Australian Open and French Open. Then came within one set of winning Wimbledon in July when he lost a heartbreaking thrilling five set Final to Alcaraz. If Djokovic beats Medvedev on Sunday he would tie Margaret Courts record of 24 Grand Slams. His now 23 Grand Slam titles is the most won in Men's tennis.
Meanwhile 19 year old American sensation Coco Gauff will have the crowd going on Saturday when she plays for the Women's title against Number one ranked player in the World Aryna Sabalenka.
