Misattributed 1883/2 Shield Nickel in TPG holder?

Pics aren't great but this sure looks like an 1882 with a filled date than any of the 1883/2 overdates I am familiar with. Happy to be proved wrong, if anyone is familiar with this specific variety.

That actually looks correct to me.
The small portion of the digit between the 8 and the 2 is the tell
No it is not an 1883/2. The date on the 1883 is much wider spaced than on the 1882. This date is narrow, therefore it is just an 1882.

Right, doesn't look like 1883/2

There are apparently 5 or 6 known varieties.

The 2 on the ebay NGC coin looks too strong to match any of them.
There is another ebay NGC coin in higher grad (AU-det) that also shows a very strong 2:

So I think either the NGC slab labels on these are wrong (incorrect attributions as 1883/2), or maybe counterfeit slabs?
There are also about 4 known varieties for 1882/2.
So lots of potential for getting a slab label incorrect.
