American Eagle 2023 One Ounce Palladium Uncirculated Coin, mintage 6k, 9/7/23

should be priced at $1950 with current spot $1258 quote if I checked it right. High premium over spot. Palladium looks like a buy near spot, at least to a bottom-picker like me. (Sprott SPPP prob better way to get near spot, plus liquidity).
Chart-wise, massive damage has been done, but it seems to have bottomed (famous last words) at a reasonable point on the long-term chart, with that insane last few years. You have to admit it has shown an explosive upside. Sources are volatile, Russia and South Africa. In this green era, catalytic converters are not going away either.
Super low mintage, right. I think story will be nice but... the rent is too damn high.

At an "average" price of $1,258.00 / oz., I think that the APdE would be offered at $2,200.00.

since kitco is a go to source for pm quotes, i'm throwing this out there:
https://www.kitco.com/charts/interactive-charts/
it includes palladium, rhodium and many other commodities.
the graph is of the bid price.
right now it shows b/a: 1191/1251 -
i'm not saying that anyone should pay an insane premium, but try finding Pd without a 10+% markup. but that's also if it's available. i wonder what sales will be like on an item in a declining market yet coupled with scarcity and yet a high premium.
as with past releases, i assume these will primarily be sold with BINs instead of true auctions.
thanks Metro for price update. Yeah I suspected I had it wrong and that is why I posted, knew it would get corrected. $2200 too expensive for me on that issue.
Just got my 2023 Palladium Eagle. I read that these are each struck three times. A close look suggests that this is probably true. Does anyone else have what appears to be tripling of the date?
There is no rarity or added dollar value for what you are seeing under that level of magnification IMO.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
Thanks. I agree. I found it interesting that I could actually see the tripling. But I suppose that under high enough magnification you can see doubling or tripling on any coin that's been struck two or three times--and on some that haven't.
Let me check for tripling - hold on a second while I have my assistant fire up the scope...............
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I would love to have one but I need a new roof
A few years ago i purchased a platinum one ounce coin from the RCM. it cost $3k with a population of 250. Like the palladium coins, the premiums are just too high. I don’t care if the mintage is 100. when the premiums are that high, the mint’s idea is to bury you in it just to teach us how stupid we are. This is how modern crap turned to modern BS. Now my platinum is under $1100.
6000+ ? beautiful specimens . Forever beautiful ~always ugly.
but….. i like them.
Yes, I quite agree. I like palladium but as has been said the premium has chased me away entirely. Design on this coin is really nice - well I like the reverse anyway (Ms. Liberty in the form of "Mercury" on the obverse is getting a bit tired IMHO and not quite as well done. I got a 2017 - I think - was 1350 USD. No mas para me.
Well, just Love coins, period.
