Is the pack registry hot and bothered?

So I had a pack submission pop the other day and had some pop 1s with none higher and also a very rare Griffey RC pack with him showing on the back (1989 Donruss Canadian) which is a pop 2 and I own both. It's just about impossible to find '89 Donruss Canadian these days so the packs may be unique.
My question is, if the pack registry causes people to lose their minds like the card registry, should I go straight auction or is my best bet to pull a number out of a hat and sell them as BINs?
All help is appreciated. Thanks!

One thing I found with packs - and maybe this has been addressed, not sure - but any type of “qualifier” doesn’t let you add a pack to the registry unless the registry specifically calls for it. In other words, if your pop 2 Griffey packs say “Griffey on back”, you might not be able to add them to a registry that just has “1989 Donruss Canadian”. I ran into this when I sent in a pile of 1985 OPC Hockey packs and had them labeled with Coffey, Borque, etc. Couldn’t add any of them to a registry.
For that reason, any registry craze may be eliminated from the equation. Again, the caveat is that maybe this behavior has changed. Good luck however you decide to go.

That's good to know, thank you, Jim.
Oddly enough, I was thinking there might be a registry where people collect different packs with their favorite player showing. I never bothered to actually check the registry to see what was available.
