    Murphy ment more to his team, the POS Braves, than Baines did for his team(s).
    The Braves would have even been a bigger embarrasment to baseball without him.

    better all around player was Murph. He played the field.

    George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    Murphy was one of the best players in early to mid 1980s, including two MVPs. His peak is far better.

    There is, at least, an argument for Baines because he did play forever and Murphy played at little more than replacement level after age 32. I find the argument unconvincing, mostly because Baines couldn't play baseball, he could only hit, but the argument is there. Baines best season wouldn't crack Murphy's top 5, but he had an awful lot of so-so seasons.

    This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.

    I still cant believe Murphy isn't in the hall.

    Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
