Another fanboy modern fit fir chasing B)

This one requires a tortuously long narrow tee shot then an approach to a nestled back left Sunday hole location.
Best of Luck!

    1. Better strike and it could be higher.

I suspect there's more marking on this than apparent which will hold it to 66.

One thing for sure is my photo skills are a lot worse than I thought. Who knew shooting was going to be harder than grading.

67, although maybe PCGS goes 66+. There's a few dings in the shield on the reverse and a few on his ear but otherwise a very nice example for an 82-D.

I think it's got a weak strike. Not sure if that should hold it back, but I'm at 66.

It doesn't look that bad to me!

Even the best photos aren't necessarily indicative of the condition of the coin. It's impossible to capture revery flaw and the quality of the luster in a photo. Grading coins from photos is an art. Experience helps and photos that best capture overall quality also helps.

This is obviously a really nice coin but I'm wagering some of those "blurry" areas like above the "U" in "TRUST" are actually marking. Some chicken scratching by the "R" in "LIBERTY" could be more extensive than the photo suggests.

    Great coin. Good pictures.

Thanks! It is a great coin in hand. The sellers pics demonstrated better luster than mine but very low res and pixelated to the point they looked rigged. You could only see the top half of one of the Kennedys and while in the thick plastic set. And maybe that's why I didn't get much push back in the auction. But I went back to look at the sellers others pics (model cars) and since they were against a white wall you couldn't see the pixelation unless you enlarged the image enough. Once I realized that I knew I was looking at great luster only had to worry about hits.

MS67 - I hoped it would go 67+ but happy it hit what I thought was base line for the coin.

I nailed it! Congrats! That's a hard one to get. With a cleaner shield I think you would have gotten the +.
