FS - 1797 Stemless Draped Bust Large Cent, Sheldon-133 R-5
Here's a chance to acquire an R-5 Draped Bust Large Cent variety for under $100, and from a difficult subtype no less.
Although the coin has no legible date, due to a combination of low grade and a misaligned obverse die:
The stemless reverse on this piece narrows it to 1797 or 1802, Stemless.
E nestled between the two hair curls on the obverse narrows it to S-131, 132, or 133.
Lack of die break behind the head eliminates S-131.
Present serif on the B in LIBERTY narrows the attribution to S-133.
I'm asking $90 shipped. Should be a good deal for someone getting into early copper or just looking for a hole filler for Sheldon-133 or for the 1797 Stemless subtype.
Feel free to ask if you have questions.
