Looks fine to me.....grade wise and being genuine. Why would someone go through all the trouble to produce a counterfeit of a $300 full retail half cent? Contemporary counterfeit makes no sense either.....even in 1806 it wouldn't have been worth the trouble.

You're the expert. I would guess that if you are posting that its possibly counterfeit.

If that is a counterfeit I am losing it.

Agree…but, dang, how are they getting little traces of verdigris in the hair folds and other devices?

It seems genuine to me also, but I'm not an expert in counterfeit copper. I will say that I believe it's been artificially toned.
I agree it does look authentic, until you compare it to others with the same matching marks; I have several, with 4 being in genuine TPG holders as genuine. My initial Coin Week article can be found at: https://coinweek.com/struck-counterfeit-coin-week-1806-c-1-half-cent-1-page-attribution-guide/
Wow! According to your diligence and hard work the coin is counterfeit……but that coin and it’s brothers will fool many people…me among them
I knew it had to be counterfeit if @burfle23 was on the scene.
