Would anyone get this graded or just leave it as is?
Sorry it's a link which will not be preserved for archives. I probably will get another so I have one graded and another raw so people can read it.
I think it's fascinating that the timing of the Olympics was 1984 and NBA players were not allowed to play until 1992 when the Dream Team dominated the scene.
Jordan had a gold medal prior to starting his NBA career. Lebron was in his first Olympics after his rookie season but he was younger. MJ's stats were ridiculous.

Not with the label. Only newsstand versions.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
I saw one graded a 7 with a label on ebay. I would be hesitant to remove it. I saw a couple forsale with the label removed but it was pretty obvious.
Other magazines I have aren't nearly as old and 1984 is probably not even considered all that old.
CGC will be kinder on grade if label is left on than if color loss occurs because of removal.
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
When it comes to magazines then a 7 isn't really that great when there appeara to be numerous 9.2 to 9.8 copies available.
I did get a refund from the seller who relisted them for $5 less each.
Can someone explain magazine grading and labels? I have every Michael Jordan Sports Illustrated ever made. Most if not all have labels. How does that hurt grading? Can it get 9 or 10 with a label? Is it like a qualifier? Or will they not even grade them?
What is the best grading company to use?
Shane
I need to check and see which / if a grading company will grade the old ACC Handbook magazines. Got a few with MJ, Len Bias from 83 - 86.
A few as in multiple copies? 😉
