PSA Labels

So, starting buying some graded cards. I've put them in serial number order and I noticed that the labels aren't in sync with the numbers. I can understand that an older number can have a new label (re-slab). But a more recent number with an old label? That does not make sense to me. Example I have a Joe Klecko PSA 9 - 81837477 with an old label. Is this a fake???

You can check any PSA card # on the PSA web site.

I believe large consignors such as 4sharpcorners in the past had cert sequences beginning with 3xxx, 8xxx, and 9xxx, so you really cant use the logic that the certs indicate when the card was graded. Currently, they are in 7xxx for recent graded cards

They did. Older flips with cert #s in the 81XXX range were 4SC inventory.
