I saw a raw 1893-S at the LCS yesterday that had been polished so much that it looked like chrome. It was appropriately labeled "Cleaned", but still commanded a large price tag. I should have taken a photo.
My Carson City Morgan Registry Set
Found several in my submission history, going back 18 years ( since I first joined) . Lots of " cleaned" in my history , and very few with photos.
Here is one that isn't a key. The keys were either damaged or ex jewelry.
Or smoothed.
