Brooklyn Dodgers pin

A friend’s father got this pin and charm from Ebbits Field in 1951. Also a parking pass is attached on the back side. Any information about the pin is appreciated. Are these collectible and is there a market for them? Thanks for your help.

I'm not a pin collector but have seen these "stadium" pins for years and unfortunately they're plentiful.

Answer to question: yes - collectible and yes - there is a market tho no where white hot or anything IMO.

That one also comes with a blue border.

Some - I believe - may classify these as PM-10 pins - there are fakes but easy to tell by looking at the back of the pin.

Some with ribbons and balls are considered "fantasy" pins since made recently - I have purchased cool ones - the pins themselves are legit.

If this one was purchased in '51 - it's sure in nice shape in terms of the ribbon.

Team pins - as such - may only go for 10 or 15 bucks right now but may go for more if with legit extra items like ribbon with bats/balls/gloves. Also, more scarce teams pin - like when the Dodgers were called the Superbas? Go for more dough from my experience.

I would check sold pins on ebay - my guess will have the range anywhere from 10 to 50 bucks or so?

This is just my experience and opine and definitely not providing any expertise on the topic. 👍

As a side note - back in the 90s these pins were really hot along with WS pins - in many cases the bottom fell out of WS press pins.

Really nice item - especially with the provenance of the parking ticket and date! I'm a fan for sure. As a group, if that were for sale at a show? I'd pay 50 bucks for sure.

Not an expert either- size can be a factor. I believe this pin came in an 1 3/4" size with some larger and up to perhaps 3 1/2" with the reverse pin having a different look. I have the 1 3/4 size-

Nice item- with the parking ticket- $50 seems very fair. I don't think it would be unreasonable to even start higher as who ever saves a parking pass?

Thank you all for your responses. This item has been with the same family since 1951.
