1954 Topps Hank Aaron rookie

So I am thinking about getting one. My question is. Where do I get it? a card show I am thing would be the best place. There are some on eBay. Would a show be better to pick one up? thanks

At that grade I'd go with the best centering and color you can get and the best deal from my experience would be a show where the seller doesn't have to
    pay Ebay fees.

I mean obviously in hand would be best to judge it but really your not losing much looking on Ebay either since the card will have multiple flaws regardless but you can find some gorgeous cards even at 3 grade

Thanks. Yes I was thinking a show. So I can see the card. And have it when I make the deal. There is a show in my area next month. I plan on going.

Show is best. Make sure you have cash to get the best deal. Good luck - it will be one to be proud of.

Thanks guys. I am doing the Aaron basic topps run. I have 11 of the 23 cards. When I get that one it would be the biggest one of the list.

I plan on getting them all at some point also. I was trying to build every Milwaukee Braves team set when I got back into grading. I "had" to be within a few cards of each set before starting the following year. I wish I had taken another approach and just bought all the Aaron's right away. Especially after I got his rookie. After the boom so many of his cards could have been purchased in higher grades for less than what midgrade cards go for now.

    I'm happy I got my 1954 in a 6 for a little more than what a 2 runs today.

I'm still missing his 1957 card, otherwise I have all of his 50's cards. (This doesn't include multi player cards. Which I'll probably address when I get all his main cards).

    Good luck with the hunt!!!

    Good for you!

I’ve been working up to one too, but just haven’t decided which grade/how much to spend. Definitely an iconic piece.

Darn, I just sold a PSA 5 57 rookie for cheaper than it probably was worth since it was sold the same day on a BIN for full price in 2 hours without any offers.

I know a guy who has some old Braves cards.

I have a hand cut Johnny Logan Red Man chew sitting in front of me right now which needs a new home.
