The number is crazy , but where are these cards coming from . How many modern card are worth the cost of grading ? Can anyone break it down for me ? l simply can't get my head around these numbers .I get there is still some lag after the big backload they had , but 14 million a year ?

Well they need to do a better job at grading and getting them back to the customer in a reasonable amount of time
You mean 4-6 months isn’t reasonable? 😂
Seriously, that’s a crazy number. I’d like to see a breakdown by year, sport or non-sport
is this just sports cards? i know some of the non-sports cards are heavily graded. magic, pokemon.
Not doubting your info but where are you getting your number?

Soon I'll be able to claim my raw card as a POP 1.
I've only done 3 submissions, all this year, and they all came back in approximately 42 days out of 65. I've had stellar experiences thus far aside from not agreeing with 1 cars grade.
Quality over quantity is what will keep a business in business. Quantity over quality will make people plenty of money in the short term but customers will not be happy and the reputation will eventually suffer.
I think PSA is striving for quantity and quality. To me it seems they first addressed the return times by inflating prices to reduce demand, then leaned out and appropriately staffed their operation, are currently working on pricing/promotion since they've reduced the inflated prices and offer some specials, and I imaging grade reports are going to be what makes PSA remain as the powerhouse of grading.
Like I've said before, it's easy to call the plays from the booth but on the field it's entirely different. I'm all about being fair and I don't think PSA has been unfair to their customers intentionally for profit. If they were then I would NEVER have offered to join them and offer improvements to their operation.
This where I stand today. Tomorrow is out of sight.
Explain 117 days on a 65 day submission and still counting.
2 orders there for 19 and 26 days and still in level 1 and one they go to level 3 the clock starts ticking.

Thanks, I guess looking at those numbers gives PSA some cover for long delays. I have plenty I'd like to submit but not so long as turn=around times are like this.

where is this data obtained? please let us know. thanks
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Looks like it came from https://www.gemrate.com/
The number of TCG cards graded in the last 30 days is about the same as baseball, football, basketball, hockey COMBINED.
Damn Pokemon! LOL
More Pikachu (9367) and Charizard(7755) cards graded last week than Shohei Ohtani(4874) and Michael Jordan(4612).
Previous week as well (about the same numbers)
Charizard will be the most graded card of all time.
the 65 days is only an estimate, not a guarantee.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Oh cmon 117 days is getting close to double the amount of “estimated “ time.
How can anyone even suggest it’s not an issue.
How much of a dent would that really be??
Is the Lost Ark in there somewhere??
I saw no Lost Ark. I did see a small box with some Morgans and Walkers
wrapped in Taco Bell napkins. In another box I saw some LeBron and
Trout cards. Saw no signs of my 12 1988 Topps checklist cards.
The business model is so human dependent. When do they move to machine grading? With CollX, AI and other technology coming down the pipeline it seems inevitable that the human will be removed from the process.
You know what they say about the squeaky wheel . . .
What did they say when you called to find out if something is wrong and/or to complain?
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
No info available as usual, just the same song and dance.
Not to be critical but when people post their recent PSA sub results I tend to question why they sent in roughly half of them. In many cases I think people are just sending in everything and just praying.
Edited for clarity: I am not judging the overall quality of the card just the overall value. In the last year I have seen so many hundred dollar or less cards sitting in PSA holders when in the past it was more likely to be more valuable cards being sent in. I understand set registry, etc. but many of these are from the junk wax era and just don't make sense to me.
