I been collecting for 30+ years heavily collect mostly US Coins , but I made a switch sold of my entire Raw and graded US coins …switched over to collecting German coins … I’ve been studying , collecting German catalogs been heavily buying German coins for last 15 years , I haven’t looked back on US coins since …

I’m frequent member of NGC chat boards as well … but I’m taking a break come here on PCGS chat board hang out and meet some newer collectors for a chance …. Anyone needs some help with German coinage or Exonumia (medals and tokens) ??? I’ll do my best to research and help them out best I can … I have decent size Library of German numismatic books that I invested into over they years some hard to find books as well…(yes I’m ol’school I’d rather look and research it

in the books than to look it up online!)

I included some of the coins that collected over last few weeks or so although my collection is pretty decent size over time I’ll do some of it when I get around to it on here

Out of this bunch I just posted it hard for me pick a real favorite …my collection it rather somewhat large both raw and graded coins. I have old German state coins , empire coins , notgeld coins , Weimar Republic years and Nazi coinage as well and some Exonumia medals and few tokens through different eras … I pretty much stop after nazi era I don’t have any modern (west Germany) German federal republic years yet

I’d say over all the Weimar Republic years and fall of German empire (notgeld coinage) are probably my most Favorite to collect for German coinage

But out of this group I posted on here … I would strongly pick Karl Gotez Pattern coins 5 mark and 3 mark pattern Schaaf 53G1 and Schaaf 52G1 …Seems like European countries had more artist design and engraving that surpassed US mint in Light years way way way ahead of their time … that’s what I find fascinated about World coins they make you study and study and study also make you look deeper into history of that country as well

Of course I’ve gotten it from you few weeks back ? If I remember correctly …
It’s definitely a stunner for a notgeld. Rarely do I see notgeld iron coinage have luster like that …. I just had to have in my collection…
