Weight is 3.2 gms and had quite a bit more copper on it when I found it in a bank box yrs ago. Non magnetic, but reads nickel, clad, zinc and copper on a metal scanner. The copper is not the core! You can still see some of the copper coating under magnification. The mint didn’t even admit to experimental planchets until the Directors son sold one to a coin shop in California that was aluminum. Then they admitted to a steel clad bronze Lincoln cent, but this looked a lot like when I first received it. Now although it’s not magnetic, maybe there’s something else they failed to mention. And yes I’m very well aware of science projects!

It looks like someone plated it with gold Krylon.
