Need help

What happens more often?

A no hitter

Or

5 for 5 at the plate

My username is 4for4 because it’s a “perfect game” for a hitter. Seldom talked about but an incredible accomplishment.

If a pitcher throws a no hitter it’s all over the news reports. If a hitter goes 5 for 5 crickets.

I don’t know the 5 for 5 numbers

These are the only guys who have hit for the cycle 3 times.

The rarest is Stennett going 7 for 7.
No one else has 8 hits in a game and no one else ever went 7 for 7.

I was thinking is there anyone else like Stennett who owns something all by themselves ?

BTW. Yes Stennett did it at Wrigley but it was a 22-0 game.

The rarest single game feat would be Tatis hitting two grand slams in one inning, its only been done once

2 triple plays in one game, Minnesota Twins on July 17, 1990. Only occurrence ever.

1932 Johnny Burnett was 9 for 11
Brandon Crawford in 2016 went 7 for 8
Cesar Gutierrez went 7 for 7 in 1970
Rocky Colavito went 7 for 10 in 1962

7-7 or 7 hits is rare but its happened more than once. A 22-0 blow out is a lot easier to get 7 hits than it is in extra innings facing real pitching the entire time too. Game isnt over until its over. Pedro doesnt get credit for a perfect game because he lost it in the 10th inning, those stats still count

Gutierrez 7 for 7 was a doubleheader. Not a single game like Stennett. Stennett’s 7 for 7 stands alone as the best perfect hitting game for at bats and hits without failure.

7-7 or 7 hits is rare but its happened more than once.

. It’s only happened once in a 9 inning game.

There are many 6 for 6’s in major league history, but just one 7 for 7.

There can be things tied for the rarest but other than things that have never happened once is the lowest. If being tied for it happening once negates it then there is no rarest feat

Guiterrez was extra innings not a double header. The first time it happened was actually 1892 but I'm fine not counting 1800s stats

It doesnt matter if its extra innings or not. A game is a game. Pedro doesnt get a perfect game in 1995 because the game wasnt over yet. Until the game ends with a winner the stats for that game are one game.
