Both cents have the normal reverse of 1988 (not the flared G/FS-901/reverse of 1989 variety, which was formerly and confusingly called "Wide AM").

In other words, both are common coins worth 1 cent.

All Lincoln cents prior to 1992 are wide am, you have a normal cent. There are some 1988 coins with a rev of 89, but that has to do with the designer's initials, which your photos do not show well enough to comment on.
