My car just passed 300,000 miles, post a well traveled coin.

I've been driving the same car for the last eight years, purchasing it when the odometer read 110,680 miles. I hoped I could make it last for maybe four years. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could hit this crazy number, especially after the multitude of repairs of maintenance I've performed on the car over the years.

So post a well-traveled coin. Any coin with honest wear will do, and a bit of damage is okay. Bonus points if the coin features a late die state.

Cheers!

Ok, I am sure all would like to know the make and model of a car that lasts for over 300,000 miles. The most I have ever gotten out of a car was 220,000 miles and 20 years.

I'm at nearly 250k; have had some Subarus over 300k, why I don't drive all over the place to shows, etc..

I can't beat you on mileage, but can on longevity. Lol! In three months, I will have driven my 1996 Jeep XJ to work daily for 20 years. I bought it in November of 2003 with 96K on the odometer, and it now has 252K. The drive train is still great in it, but years of winter salt have rotted the shock mounts off the front axle and I can see the carpet backing through the floorpans when underneath it. Lol!

    My most-worn coin:

Many (not all) Toyota and Honda models are notorious for lasting 250k-300k+ miles. My mom recently retired a mid 2000s Honda CR-V with 340k with the original engine and transmission.

I retired my Toyota Sienna when it had 416,000 miles! It was a 2009 and lasted until 2023.

Minted in Mexico City, then shipped to Mexico by a Spanish galleon, circulated a long time accumulating many counterstamps then somehow made it back to North America where I purchased it about 35 years ago for a princely $5.

We had a car that was a couple of thousand miles shy of hitting 200K - until a 91 year old lady in a big Buick broadsided it back in 2019.

The more bells and whistles on a car are just more things to break. Mine is a straight drive.
